AN EXPERT DATABASE SYSTEM TOOL BASED ON LOGIC PROGRAMMING PARADIGM

A new integrated expert database system tool called GKD EDST is presented, which is based on logic programming paradigm. GKD EDST extends some functions of main memory database systems at the lower level, and develops modular structure, object oriented paradigm, and agent oriented communication primitives at the upper level. From the logic inference level perspective, GKD EDST also implements the seamless connection of logic programming and main memory relational database.Here described are the design and implementation issues encountered when developing such a tool.
