MULTITHREAD DBMS KERNEL DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE STUDY

A multithread DBMS kernel is described, which supports some basic database functions and provides a uniform environment for various DBMSs. A client server DBMS is multithreaded on the basis of this kernel. Experimental results indicate that the multithreading approach achieves higher throughput.
