MNSMP: A MULTI-NODE STATE MAINTENANCE PROTOCOL BASED ON DISTRIBUTED ROUTER

Routers are the key equipments of Internet. Their performance and reliability will affect the whole network’s smooth operation. Distributed processing can solve the performance bottleneck of backbone routers and the redundancy attribute will improve the reliability of the system. A multi node maintenance protocol is presented to achieve the data conformance maintenance of distributed routers with the finite state machine tool. An analysis of the protocol operation is also provided.
