THE RESEARCH ON ACESS UNITS IN MESSAGE HANDLING SYSTEM AND THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PUBLIC TELEFAX ACCESS UNITS

Access Unit（AU） is an important functional object in Message Handling System （MHS）. Various traditional communication systems can be integrated into MHSwith it. In this paper, we discuss AU’s concept, types, functions, effects and configurations while focusing on analysing the fundamental functions of Public Telefax AU（PFAXAU）. Finally, the efficient and practical implementation of a PFAXAU systemis introduced.
