A Multiprocessing Knowledge Base System

It is necessary to introduce parallel processing into a knowledge base system in order to support large knowledge applications. In this paper. we describe a knowledge base system based on an Intel 86/310 multiprocessor. The system includes mainly a control processor, four unit processors, a shared memory and a disk system. We also design the knowledge management, inference, knowledge acquisition and interpreter Some problems about the architecture and implementation are also discussed.
