Abstract
In the scenes with high occlusion in virtual environment, most polygons are invisible. In order to deal with this complex case, an accelerating algorithm based on screen filling is developed, in which the polygons in the scenes are rendered in a front to back order. Since the algorithm mainly detects the visible surfaces, so a lot of judgments and tests of invisible surfaces are avoided. This algorithm has been applied in complex scenes and the effect is satisfactory.
